Kingsholm C of E Primary School is situated in the heart of the City of Gloucester.
We are a member of the Gloucester Schools Partnership which is dedicated to helping raise the achievement of all children in Gloucester's schools network.
Our buildings are set in grounds of some 6 acres that provide both space
and a full range of outdoor activities for the children.
We are very proud of our school environment and have many different areas for the children to learn in. The quiet area is somewhere the children can go to reflect and learn in a peaceful and relaxing location. The field and playground offer wide open spaces to play and learn in and our classrooms are designed to maximise our learning experiences. We have recently built a wildlife area with a pond and hide, An allotment with a greenhouse made out of plastic bottles and two fantastic willow sculpture quiet learning areas..
The school has received many awards including Full International Award Status, Healthy Schools Status, FA Primary Development Status, Activemark, Investor in People, Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark and The Book Trust's Read On Award. We are also one of only 7 National Advocacy schools in the country for the National Education Trust.
We have a brand new state of the art built Children's Centre on site that offers learning experiences for pre-school children and their carers.
We have a new art studio and cooking area, a well resourced library, excellent ICT facilities, a dance and drama studio and a fantastic sound and lighting system in the main hall for live performances.
We also have a Breakfast Club and After School Club which runs everyday as well as a wide range of lunch time and after school clubs. Our very popular Walking Bus collects children from their homes every morning.

Over the past eight years the school has played a pivotal role with a cluster of other local schools in rewriting our curriculum into the City Curriculum. We have continued developing the curriculum so that it now offers our children a fully innovative, creative and experiential curriculum which has been recognised nationally by OFSTED and the National Education Trust in which the children are central and vital to planning their learning experiences.
Our Y6s participate in a unique citizenship and leadership course written specifically for our school. Click on the link below for further information.

We are within walking distance of many attractions eg. the Cathedral, the Docks, Gloucester's museums and the GL1 Leisure Centre. We use these resources, and more, to enrich the childrens' curriculum giving them many first hand experiences.
We are very proud to have extremely close links with our close neighbours, Gloucester Rugby Club. Not only do we do work with the players and staff but we also give our Year 5 and 6 children the opportunity to attend the Playing For Success Centre at Kingsholm. The school also raises considerable funds by acting as a car park on match days.
